Meetings

Turn meeting text or transcripts into notes, action items and follow-up questions.

Overview

Most meetings should be an email — this workflow turns 'should this exist' into an answerable question. Price the meeting: heads times hours times labor cost, then three checks. No decision to make ⇒ async; draft a memo instead — that verdict is a win. A decision but no agenda or owner ⇒ not ready, naming the gap. All three present ⇒ it earns its cost, stated as a total.

Only survivors get an agenda: every topic carries a desired outcome (empty ones are refused), decisions sort before discussion and information, and timeboxes plus a five-minute closing recap must fit — trim, split and re-check until they do. You run the meeting; the agenda is your script.

Afterwards the notes reveal their actions: commitments, to-dos and 'name will do X by Y' lines group into a checklist by owner, with no-owner and no-due-date flags. The meeting ends when every action has an owner and a date. It never sends invites or mass messages — the output is text you decide to send.

Where it helps

  • Gate a recurring sync: does this really need eight people for an hour
  • Compress loose topics into a decision-first timeboxed agenda
  • Extract an owner-and-due-date action checklist from post-meeting notes
  • Draft the async memo that replaces the meeting

Examples

Examples describe the request and the shape of the expected deliverable; they are not completed run results.

Example prompt

Thursday's project sync: 8 people for an hour. Price it and run the checks; if there's no pending decision, skip the agenda and draft the async memo.

Expected output

An async verdict with the cost figures plus a memo draft — no agenda fabricated for a nonexistent decision.

Example prompt

From these review-meeting notes, extract action items grouped by owner, flagging no-owner and no-due-date entries, with counts at the end.

Expected output

An owner-grouped checklist with gap counts; sending remains your call.
